Will and Brit met as respective parents whose daughters were best friends. After experiencing tremendous loss, they developed a friendship with each other, reaching out and offering support through all life was throwing their way. At one point, Will had relocated with his girls to a different town up North, and Brit moved a little more further South. They, and their girls, maintained their bond through texts, FaceTime and phone calls as often as life allowed.

Two days prior to Christmas Eve 2023, Will and Brit were both out picking up Christmas gift orders, unbeknownst to each other. Coming up to Keizer Station, Brit came upon the most beautiful, bright rainbow she’d ever seen. It seemed to follow alongside her car, the ending of it appearing to be at Target. Evoking such emotion, she sent a picture of it to Will, who responded with a picture of it from his location, which just happened to be at that very same Target. Fast forwarding just a bit, it resulted in two friends, standing in a pickup area of a Target store, hugging each other in the rain right before Christmas. When they parted ways, Brit felt that something was just, different. It just clicked, and she said to herself, “that’s my person”. However, they had agreed before that neither of them wanted to date, and that they were always just going to remain friends, so how could that be? Until, she received a text from Will before she even left the shopping center, asking, “is it just me, or did that feel different?”, and that, my friends, was the true beginning of it all….

In the time since, they fell in love, relocated back to where they started, bought a home together and blended their families, their girls went from being just besties to sisters, and got engaged on what is now known as “Rainbow day” of 2024, on a horse-drawn carriage led by Santa through a Christmas light display in Sublimity, Oregon.

This wedding marks the beginning of their forever, and they can’t wait to share it with those they love! ❤️
