"What's your name again?" That's what Brittany said when she saw Michael Jr. for the second time at the gym. She remembered his dad's name, Michael, from when they had all met a few weeks prior...

At the time Brittany was playing professional golf on The Cactus Tour in Arizona. Her grandmother (CeCe) had arranged for her to try this fancy, athletic gym for 8 weeks as it was recommended by a family friend. That friend had a daughter who had met "a nice young gentleman" who coached baseball for a minor league team. CeCe thought this would be a perfect place for Brittany to meet someone. Brittany said she wasn't interested in meeting anyone, but since the gym fee had been paid, she began her training.

..."My name is Michael" he replied. Puzzled, Brittany responded with, "Oh I didn't realize you had the same name as your dad."

That night Michael asked Brittany to join him for sushi after workouts---sparking a friendship. About a month later Michael invited Brittany to a BBQ he was having with his teammates. By this time it appeared both had a little more than friendship on their mind. Shall we say, both of them were starting to develop a little crush--

Being that gentleman, Michael took her to the grocery store to pick out a good wine for dinner. He selected 'Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc' and proceeded to hand his credit card to Brittany, instructing her he would meet her outside. Why would he wait outside you may be thinking?? He was only 20!!!

Imagine Brittany's shock as she was 25! She thought she had met this PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL PLAYER, but he was a pitcher still in college!!!! Boy, he sure did have an arm. Brittany recalls watching Michael pitch in a few games and seeing him reach speeds of 93mph. Pretty impressive for a college player, definitely scout worthy!

Did I mention he only knew of Kim Crawford because of his mother???

Well, when Brittany told her mom Michael's age the next day, she jokingly said "RUN." Well, she didn't!

AND so here we are nearly 11 years later and the love story is still going strong <3
