Tucker and Brittany have been in a relationship for almost 12 years. They first met at a summer camp at the ages of 12 and 13. Brittany asked for Tucker’s number, and he wrote it on a frisbee (which she still has!) Their first date was at a local putt putt course at the drive-in theater in Marion. Later that night, they watched fireworks for the Fourth of July and decided to make it official. Growing up, they went to rival high schools and saw each other on the weekends between school and sports competitions. In high school, Tucker would sprint out of practices to see Brittany play volleyball, basketball, track, and soccer. Brittany also attended Governor's School in Pulaski, but she found the time to watch Tucker play basketball and baseball.

Distance has always played a role in their relationship. After high school, Tucker attended Emory and Henry College where he studied elementary education, and Brittany attended the University of Virginia where she studied human biology. After college, Brittany and Tucker finally decided to live in the same city! Right before moving, Tucker found the confidence to pop the question at the putt putt course where they had their first date. Now, they live in Richmond where Tucker is working as a 5th grade teacher in Hanover County while obtaining his Masters in Educational Leadership through Radford. Brittany is pursuing her medical degree at VCU School of Medicine, where she plans to become a family physician or pediatrician.

In Richmond, Brittany and Tucker enjoy spending time with friends and family, playing with their cat London Tipton, and running along the James River with their run club! Some of their favorite places are Nate’s Bagels, Shyndigz, and Hotel Greene (an indoor putt putt company). They are extremely thankful for their parents, family, and friends who have supported them along the way. They cannot wait to celebrate their love with those closest to them!
