Brittany and Mitchell met in college at Texas Tech University in the fall of 2020. At the time, Mitchell was a senior and Brittany was a junior. They knew each other from previous interactions at the Recreational Center, where they enjoyed spending their free time. After numerous exchanges, Mitchell finally decided to reach out. They ended up working out together and had dinner afterwards to get to know each other better. They quickly connected and continued spending more time together. A few months later, they finally made it official and started dating.

In the spring of 2021 Mitchell graduated and started his career in Houston, where he is originally from, while Brittany finished up her last year of school. As their relationship continued 500 miles apart, they became truly inseparable. They spent countless hours on the phone and made trips to see each other. From traveling back and forth to Houston, Lubbock, Dallas, or even "halfway" in Abilene, they were determined to make it work. While it was extremely difficult at times, they knew that no matter where they were, they would always have each other to lean on.

In 2022 Brittany graduated, landed a job, and moved to Houston to be with Mitchell. With the amount of patience and hard work they put into their relationship, it made them even stronger and felt it was the right time to take the next step in their lives.

After spending three years together, Mitchell proposed to Brittany on October 10, 2023. While they were on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Mitchell planned to take Brittany on a private yacht to watch the sunset together at Lover's Beach. While out on the water, Mitchell took Brittany to the front of the boat to look at the beautiful arches where he got down on one knee and asked Brittany to marry him.

Throughout the years, they have witnessed each other's achievements and have grown alongside one another. They have learned what it means to love, forgive, and better one another, as they look forward to continuing to do so as husband and wife. They are excited for the future and whatever challenge it may bring because they know they will face it together, as they always have. Now that they are ready to take on the next chapter of life, they cannot wait to celebrate with everyone at their wedding on April 13, 2025!
