BJ and Brittany have known each other since they were in seventh grade, but they never took an interest in each other until high school. In 10th grade, BJ told Brittany's best friend that he really liked her, and this friend then gave him her number. BJ called Brittany and tried to pursue her but, unfortunately, Brittany just wasn't interested at the time. Brittany and BJ's friends then tried to take fate into their own hands, and they set Brittany and BJ up on a date at the fair. This date was a disaster, but now they look back on it and laugh. :) Brittany thought they were supposed to be nothing more than friends, so that's what they remained even though BJ kept trying to get Brittany to be way more than just his friend.

Over the next few months after that date at the fair, Brittany and BJ became the best of friends, and BJ kept trying to pursue her, but Brittany was very adamant about that they just weren't right for each other. Little did Brittany know, over the next four or five months, she would fall head over heels for her best friend. After seven months of being best friends and practically being inseparable, on Janruary 24, 2010 BJ once again tried to ask Brittany out, and to his luck, Brittany said she'd give him a shot! Little did they both know, this one leap of faith would impact both of their lives forever! They became inseparable and madly in love as the years went by. They knew that they were made for each other and that it was God's will that they found their way to each other's hearts. These first loves will be each other's one and only loves. Now these high school sweet hearts are almost six years down the road and getting ready to get married, and they could not be any more excited!

The proposal was a day that Brittany never thought would come! July 18, 2015 BJ, Brittany, and her family were on vacation in Gatlinburg, TN, and the morning started out just like any other vacation morning. They all got up, got dressed, and were headed out to go shop around town and have a fun filled day. However, little did Brittany know, BJ had big plans for the day! BJ had plans for him and Brittany to get couples pictures made in Gatlinburg, and he had said they were going that day while they were in town. Brittany thought nothing of this though. Brittany, her family, and BJ all went to a photography place that BJ had booked, and Brittany and BJ began to have their pictures taken with Brittany's family just watching. As the pictures were being taken, BJ then got down on one knee and popped the question! Brittany was overjoyed with tears and extremely shocked! She said YES!

Bj had arranged for the entire proposal to be professionally videoed and photographed, and he planned it during the family vacation, so Brittany's entire family could be there. The day couldn't have been more perfect!
