It was May of 2019, the Woodpeckers were a month into their inaugural season, Brittany was the Retail Manager and Paul was the "Beer Guy". One day Brittany noticed a polo being held in the store's backroom labeled for Paul. When it went unclaimed for a couple days, Brittany saw an opportunity and a few moments later she "slid into Paul's DM". That day the two began talking and never stopped.

About a month later Paul met Don & Janet Tschida and asked Brittany to be his girlfriend. The two were inseparable until life threw them a curveball (pun intended).

In October 2019, Brittany received an incredible opportunity to assist the Astros with their Houston Open and Postseason Playoffs. Paul dropped her off at the RDU Airport with a one way ticket to Houston. The two were forced to do long distance early on, and although some days were harder than others, the love between them only grew stronger.

They spent the next few months making up for lost time, traveling to Asheville, Charlotte, Connecticut, and wherever else the road led. Until it didn't. Shortly after they returned from visiting Paul's family in Connecticut, the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Brittany found herself spending a lot of time at Paul's apartment and they quickly learned each others living habits. Luckily, it didn't tear them apart. In May 2020 they moved into their first apartment and by June 2020 they had their first child, Brady.

Fast forward a couple years, Paul and Brittany found a backyard for Brady and moved into a house in Haymount. But what's a backyard without a friend? In November 2022 the two welcomed a second set of paws into the family, and gave Charlie a home.

Their family grew over the first few years of dating and so did their love. In May 2023, Paul asked Don for Brittany's hand in marriage and in August he proposed and she said YES.

But this is just the beginning...
