Picture it, 2008 State College, Pa. Brittany's home town, Rudie had been living there for 88888 years. Rudie had been working for McDonald's for 4 years at this time. Brittany had been there for 1.5 years.

"I remember it like it was yesterday. I was in the "Back booth" and Rudie was there waiting to get her year end review. That was probably in Februaryish. I remember I was so nervous, because she was just walking back and forth. I literatly was so scared to talk to her, but she did say hi haha and I blushed. After she left the restaurant I asked my manager, 'Linda, who was that?' She responded with 'Oh that was Rudie, she works at College Ave' Oh my, I was 17 years old and definitely had a crush on her. (She is 11 years my senior)

Fast forward to Penn State Football season 2009. All of the local McDonald's usually send some employees to the College Ave location to help with the students out and about for football. My friend said that she wanted to go to earn some extra money, asked if I would go too. 2009 was the first season I would be allowed to work overnights, I turned 18 in 2009. So, I said sure, why not. Since the first time seeing Rudie, I had seen her once or twice for McDonald's purposes, but this would be the first time we ever worked together. I still had a crush on her. She knew me as a 'helper' from another restaurant. She always put me on Fries. It was annoying and it was hot haha. So, Football season ends. Things are not really working out with my relationship at the time. I turned my sights on Rudie. I start asking around about her to other McDonald's managers who have been there awhile and knew her. I really wish I remember who I asked her if she was Gay or not, but I got those butterfly feelings and the tingles, ya know, hoping I would have a chance.

Anywho, I remember it plain as day. I asked Brett Vance if he would give me her number. He asked her, and she said yes, then he gave it to me. previously I had added her on Facebook, but like today, she is hardly on it. We start the whole texting/talking on the phone thing. The ice breaker of us "hanging out" was after an overnight her, myself, and 2 co-workers went to breakfast at Dennys. I remember I was so nervous I just got an orange juice haha. The other two people we were with did not tip (We took the checks up to the counter and they asked if they wanted to add it on) But I will never forget that she pulled out more money than she needed to and put it on the table. I knew right then that she had the best heart. A couple of times after that myself and 2 of my coworkers would meet up with Rudie at her work and walk to the waffle house close by. On one of the walks, I fell face first off a curb into the middle of the road. It was a great feeling. Fast forward to the beginning of March 2010 We ventured out on our own, finally. Rudie and I went to "The Deli" in State College. She ordered the tuna tataki. I curled my nose at it. Years later, I love sushi and sashimi AND I manage a sushi restaurant. lol. Time changes a lot. A couple days later Rudie took me to "Mario and luigis" in State college for my 19th birthday. She wore a VERY nice sky blue button down, hair swiped to one said, part on the side, and she smelled AMAZING! I remembered she ordered a glass of wine and the waiter turned to me and said "and for you?" I just kind of sat there like a deer in headlights. haha. Eventually I said "Nothing, thank you." I consider my birthday dinner our "official" anniversary. After that we kinda were a thing. :) My months of stalking her at the college Ave Mcds, texting, and falling off of curbs for her had finally paid off. She was, still is, and always will be obsessed with me! I am lucky, ecstatic and something that she is my best friend.
