(Brittany’s side) I first met Tyler when we were both doing undergrad at UNC-Chapel Hill. We ran in similar circles, but only got to see each other in passing. Luckily, soon after graduation we were able to reconnect and finally get a chance to get to really meet! On our very first date, Tyler came over for Halloween and we hung out with a few friends on Franklin Street. After talking and laughing all night, I had zero doubt in my mind that he was the one! (He knew this too, considering he told his parents right after this that he was going to marry me!) and we have honestly been inseparable ever since. I have truly found the one whom my soul loves, and I wouldn’t trade a minute of our life together for the world! Tyler proposed about a week before our three-year anniversary, at the UNC Homecoming game in 2017. He took me on a picnic on campus, sat us down at the Davie Poplar, and asked me to spend my life with him! I was overjoyed and let’s just say there were tears. A lot of tears. (Shoutout to waterproof mascara!) and I think somewhere in there was a yes too... hahaha! I am so thankful to be marrying my very best friend, partner in crime, soulmate, and the most wonderful dog-dad to the best fur child in the world (I dare you to find a better dog than Charles. You can’t.) and to see what the next 80 years holds!
