Once upon a time, in a world full of hair products, bad puns, and the occasional rock concert, Brittany was busy being the ultimate superhero hairstylist. With her scissors in hand and the uncanny ability to make people feel like a million bucks, she turned ordinary hair into masterpieces. Little did she know that her perfect match was out there—probably drumming on a steering wheel at a red light somewhere.

Meanwhile, Matt was living a double life—a mild-mannered personal banker by day, and a rock drummer by night, always one cymbal crash away from greatness. Their paths crossed thanks to the their matchmaker, Stephanie Byxbe, who saw the potential for either a beautiful romance or a fantastic reality TV show.

For a month or two, they existed in the same orbit—Brittany was busy making the world a more stylish place, and Matt was busy hitting things with sticks. He almost bailed on the night they were supposed to meet, opting instead for a thrilling evening of doing absolutely nothing. But fate (and probably a little guilt) had other plans, and he showed up.
