Our Wedding

Brittney and Paul met on the dating app, Hinge, and decided to meet up for a couple drinks to get to know each other better. Paul had just relocated to the Northern California area, so Brittney suggested Heretic Brewing Company, a popular spot near Travis Air Force Base that many people went to after work. When they saw each other, Brittney smiled because she thought he was so cute and Paul thought he’d won the lottery seeing Brittney for the first time. After grabbing a table, conversation revolved mostly around the Air Force. Brittney thought Paul was mostly friendly and thought she would not hear from him again. Paul surprised her with sweet, flirty texts that made her laugh, and he secured the second date. The rest is history! Paul, Brittney…and Bailey…have spent nearly every day together ever since. They’ve spent lots of time getting to know each other while cooking, hiking, traveling, wine tasting, and so much more!

How We Met

From early-on when Brittney and Paul met, they talked about all the places they wanted to travel and one of them was Hawaii! They agreed Kauai had beautiful nature and they both had never been to the island.&nbsp;Brittney was hoping Paul might&nbsp;"pop the question," but he was very secretive about the whole thing.&nbsp;&nbsp;After arriving at the hotel, the first day was meant to relax with nothing planned.&nbsp;Brittney wanted to do a tour of a chocolate farm, which turned out AMAZING. Paul suggested ending the day with a view of the sunset at the secluded Tunnels Beach.&nbsp;Brittney loved the idea, and they hopped in the car to start the journey to North Shore.&nbsp;Halfway into the 1-hour journey, however, Brittney was hungry and craving Hawaii’s famous Poke. Paul insisted that there was no time, as the sun would be setting. Brittney found this interesting, as it was 4:30PM, and sunset was expected at 6:00PM. They eventually found their way to Tunnels Beach after a light drizzle. The number of people on the beach could be counted with one hand. The weather was perfect! Brittney wanted to walk hand-in-hand with feet in the waves, but Paul was preoccupied finding sea shells. After a few minutes, Paul returned, and hugged Brittney from behind so they could both take in the amazing view. He told her how much he loved her, turned her around, and surprised her by proposing with a ring in a sea shell inscribed with the words “Marry Me?” on it! She said YES! He picked her up and swung her around in a circle.&nbsp;He then pointed out that he had a hidden photographer capture the moment!&nbsp;Now she knew why Paul was so anti-Poke.&nbsp;They both could not stop smiling as the photographer came over to take an exciting couple’s photo session, and they ended the night with dinner and champagne&nbsp;in Hanalei.
