Miami International Airport (MIA) to Islamorada The “Purple Island” (the actual meaning of Islamorada) is a scenic village in Monroe County and one of the most popular locations in Florida, especially when it comes to family vacations. Lying between Miami and Key West, the paradise destination is 78.5 miles away from the City of Miami and actually consists of 6 islands. Thus, if you are heading from Miami Airport to Islamorada, under normal traffic conditions, a ride from Miami International Airport to Islamorada should last around 90-120 minutes. Rental cars are available at the airport.

Fort Lauderdale International Airport There are 88.25 miles from Fort Lauderdale to Islamorada in southwest direction and 109 miles by car, following the Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike route. Fort Lauderdale and Islamorada are 2 hours 1 min far apart, if you drive non-stop. Rental cars are available at the airport.

Key West International Airport is approximately 80 miles from Islamorada. The drive from Islamorada to Key West takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. However, the journey is worth it as you get to experience the beautiful scenery and attractions along the way, such as the Seven Mile Bridge, Bahia Honda State Park, and the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum in Key West.
