Our Wedding

As many of you know, Justin and I have a long history behind us — and it all began at Hope Lutheran School in South St. Louis back in 2001. We met in the 1st grade. Was it love at first sight? Of course not — we both had cooties back then! One of my earliest memories of childhood birthdays was Justin’s co-ed Halloween birthday party. It stood out because it was one of the first parties where boys and girls were both invited — a big deal at the time! Looking back, it’s funny to think how that memory stuck with me. Little did I know then that these people would become my family someday. Years later, Justin transferred to Rogers Middle School in the Affton School District while I stayed at Hope Lutheran. After graduating from 8th grade in 2009, my parents told me I’d be attending high school in the district where my dad lived — which just happened to be Affton. And there, Justin and I crossed paths again in Spanish class. We became best friends. Eventually, Justin asked me to homecoming during our junior year, and from that moment, we were officially a couple. After high school, life led us in different directions — college, new jobs, and different experiences — but fate wasn’t done with us yet. In 2020, in the middle of a pandemic, Justin’s photo popped up on Tinder (I know, I know). I sent him a simple message: “Hey stranger.” The spark was still there! As it turns out, Justin was working as a supervisor at the post office where my mom worked. When coworkers found out about our past, they had fun teasing them — calling my mom his future mother-in-law and Justin her son-in-law — even though we were only talking at the time. My mom, Tiffany, would always ask Justin where things stood between us, hoping it would one day become something more. In September 2023, I lost my mom unexpectedly to a massive stroke. It was the hardest time of my life — and Justin showed up for me in ways I didn’t even know I needed. He checked on my family, sat with me, brought me food, and even said his goodbyes to my mom. His kindness, presence, and support made everything between us so much clearer. By the start of 2024, we were officially together again. And in November 2024, while on a family trip to Mexico, Justin asked me to marry him. I said yes — and now we’re so excited to be planning our wedding! Through the years, no matter what path we were on, life always led us back to each other. We’re so thrilled to celebrate our continuing love story with all of you. March 14, 2026 can’t come soon enough. See you there!
