Brittney's version:"We met 2 weeks before I started residency and I wasn't expecting to drag anyone through that with me. But here we are 3 years later. This journey hasn't been easy by any means and we've had to make it through some rough times. But I've realized there's no one who'd do as good a job as he would or that I would rather have doing it. " Carlton's version:"Our first date was hiking at the VW nature park. In hindsight, maybe not the best first date, but we both enjoy being outdoors. At the time I wasn't necessarily looking for anything serious, but we ended up hanging out more and more. A day before residency started we were both committed to seeing how things would go. I'm very proud of all she's accomplished and that she's let me support her. I'm also incredibly lucky to find someone who pushes me to be better and to follow my dreams as well. I can't imagine life without her."

We've live in different cities for longer than we've live in the same one, which has left to some of my favourite vacation memories, complete with drinks and tattoos. This wonderful woman is there for me when life gets tough and keeps me grounded.

College wouldn't have been the same without her. Our lives took us in different paths and kept us in different states but who knows where'd I'd be without her. If you would like an interesting story about me, she'd be the one to have it

Another one who keeps be grounded, literally. She has kept me sane during medical school and caught me from falling off the sides of mountains. I'd easily trust her with my life

I would say she kept me calm during residency, but we both know that's a lie. But her passion for life and her patients has helped me through some of the toughest times when I wanted to quit. Calmness is overrated

Another fiery northerner who kept me sane during residency. Her support, love and willingness to tell me when I'm wrong made some terrible nights and 24s so much more bearable

An unexpected friend who I wouldn't give up for anything. It feels like we've known each other for years. No issues with stealing her from Carlton's side

I've known this one since she was born and still remember loving her after she threw up on my face. Theres several years between us but I know if things got tough, we'd be there for each other

Travel

This is the main bridge that's photographed in Chattanooga. It connects downtown to the Northshore. There are plenty of good restaurants, shopping and parks within walking distance.

Walnut Street Bridge

Great for children and adults. I love the penguins but Carlton says the sea otters are the best
