What does the wedding day timeline look like?
Arrive as early as you like if you want to explore the trails and waterfalls, park opens at 8:00am. Please arrive at the Evergreen Picnic area by 1:30pm as the ceremony will start at 2:00pm. Drinks will be available prior to and following the ceremony, there will be plenty of yard games and a photo booth will be available throughout the reception, picnic style food (sandwiches, pasta salads, etc.) will be provided around 3:30pm, desserts to follow. Couples send off by 6:30pm and park closes by 8:00pm.
What's The Venue Like?
Adorable covered Pavillion surrounded by forest and a large, open grassy area next to a stream. There's a paved path leading up to the site from the parking lot and a gorgeous waterfall about 300ft away! See photo below.
Are children welcome?
Yes
Will there be cell service?
No promises, some carriers have spotty service out there and others none. Pulling up directions to venue in advance is recommended.
Think of it like a fun forest retreat from service!
What's the parking situation?
The Evergreen Picking Shelter is "Picnic Shelter E" on the map. We share the 2 large parking areas "South Falls Parking Lot A" with the Silver Falls State Park day use area. There are no reserved spots available, feel free to park anywhere. There is a $5 parking fee per vehicle, the kiosks accept card/cash.
There is an overflow parking lot in the unlikely event that the main lots are full, but it's a beautiful walk for those that don't mind the extra steps.
