Elgin and Brittny’s love story began long before they ever imagined where life would take them. They first met as children—Brittny was just four years old, and Elgin was five. Their bond was formed in there childhood church, Gaza Missionary Baptist Church, where they were baptized together, sang in the choir, attended Vacation Bible School, and participated in the church drill team. As the years passed, their friendship blossomed into young love. They dated throughout middle school and high school, sharing special moments like Brittny’s JROTC military ball and prom. Though life eventually led them down separate paths, their story was far from over. Now, in their 30s, fate has brought them back together—stronger, wiser, and more in love than ever. Their journey is a testament to the power of faith, destiny, and a love that truly stands the test of time. As they prepare to say "I do," Brittny and Elgin are excited to celebrate this new chapter with all of their loved ones!

Some friendships are meant to be—and theirs started with a little struggle and a lot of determination. When Brittny was just four years old, trying (and failing) to get her motorized Big Wheel up the driveway, a kind-hearted five-year-old named Courtney offered to help. True to Brittny’s stubborn nature, she refused and kept struggling. Eventually, Courtney's dad stepped in, introduced himself and Courtney, and from that moment on, a lifelong friendship was born.

Over the years, they’ve shared countless memories—some sweet, some hilarious. Like the many times Brittny would sleep over at Courtney’s house without bringing any clothes, only to have to squeeze into Courtney’s… despite being about three times her size! From Six Flags adventures to cleaning each other’s rooms, to even attempting to bring bees back to life (yes, really), they have been through it all together.

Through every stage of life, Courtney has remained a solid, unwavering presence—a true friend in every sense of the word. She’s not just Brittny’s best friend; she’s her sister. Brittny couldn’t imagine this special day without Courtney, just like she couldn’t imagine life without her love, laughter, and support.

What started as a simple client relationship quickly blossomed into a beautiful friendship and business partnership. Valerie entered Brittny’s life through real estate, but over time, their connection grew beyond transactions and turned into a true friendship. Their sons even played together as kids, making their families even more intertwined.

Beyond business, Valerie has been a true friend in every sense—going out of her way to support Brittny in personal areas of her life, especially with her son, in ways she never had to but did wholeheartedly. She has always stepped up, offering help, guidance, and encouragement without hesitation.

Valerie’s intelligence and meticulous nature makes her stand out. She researches everything thoroughly—if there’s a detail to be known, she will find it. Honestly, she should be an attorney with how sharp and thorough she is! Brittny is incredibly grateful to have Valerie not just as a business partner but as a remarkable friend—someone who is caring, supportive, and an invaluable presence in her life.

Ashley Stewart – Bridesmaid
Ashley isn’t just Elgin’s first cousin—she’s been more like a big sister from the very beginning. Growing up side by side, they shared everything—from childhood mischief and summer camp adventures to the lessons that shaped them both. Whether it was getting into trouble together or celebrating milestones, their bond has always been unbreakable.

But Ashley’s influence didn’t stop at family memories—she also played a key role in teaching young Elgin the game. From how to carry himself with confidence to what to say (and, more importantly, what not to say), she made sure he knew how to approach a lady the right way. And judging by the fact that he’s standing here today with his beautiful wife, it’s safe to say her lessons paid off.

It’s only fitting that on this special day, Ashley stands by his side—not just as family, but as the sister, mentor, and lifelong friend she has always been.

If loyalty had a face, it would look just like Devin. If "day one" had a definition, his name would be in bold letters. He and Elgin aren’t just cousins—they’re built from the same foundation, raised together, and locked in for life. Some people cross paths by chance, but Devin? He was solid from the start. There was never a need to build trust—it was just there, unshaken and unwavering. Family isn’t just about blood; it’s about who stays ten toes down, who’s there when it matters, and who never switches up. Devin isn’t just a cousin—he’s a brother in every way that counts.

Through it all—middle school chaos, different high schools—they always showed up for each other. No matter where life took them, they stood front and center at each other’s graduations like proud parents. From victories to struggles, Devin has been Elgin’s right hand, his sounding board, and the go-to when life threw its worst. He’s been the one to remind Elgin who he is when it mattered most and the first to celebrate every win like it was his own.

There’s no situation, no challenge, no moment too big or small for Devin to have Elgin’s back. And today, as Elgin steps into this next chapter, there’s no one else he’d trust to stand beside him. Devin isn’t just the best man—he’s the definition of what it means to be family. And if you know them, you know one thing for sure: this brotherhood doesn’t fade—it only gets stronger.

Elgin and Reginald came up grinding together—hustling, working, and always making sure they kept each other on the right path. They saw each other’s struggles, felt each other’s pain, and never let one another slip. If one of them was moving wrong, the other made sure to call it out. That’s real love. That’s real family.

From the hard times of booting cars to laying cement, Reginald always stayed solid—with his Snoop Dogg-looking self. And if there’s one thing everyone knows about Reg, it’s that he loves to talk. But it’s never just talk—it’s knowledge. He’s been dropping gems since day one, always making sure the next man levels up.

Reginald isn’t just a cousin; he’s a brother. From changing brakes to changing oil, from hustling to working legit, they always pushed each other to be better. Elgin was there when Reg took that big step in his life, and now it’s only right that Reg stands beside him for his.

Wouldn’t have it any other way. Solid through and through.

Elgin and Todd go way back to their St. Aug days, where they bonded over the three essentials—cars, music, and clothes. From the start, they clicked, but what really cemented their friendship was a summer break kickoff that turned into one of their funniest memories.

Todd’s grandfather lived down the street from Elgin, so for the last day of school, he stayed there so they could start summer the right way. The only problem? Todd forgot his school clothes. He tried calling Elgin’s house after hours, but his mom answered and told him he was asleep. Trying to be respectful, Todd hit her with a polite “Yes, ma’am” and hung up real quick—then called their boy, R.I.P. Joseph Stiaes, for backup.

Here’s where it gets wild—Joe was half Todd’s height and twice his size. With no other options, Todd had to rock Joe’s pants to school the next day, looking like he was stuck between a 90s rap video audition and preparing for a high-water flood drill at the same time. That image still brings laughter to this day!

But beyond the jokes, Todd has always been more than a friend—he’s been a brother. From working on each other’s cars to building dreams together, they always had each other’s backs. When they hit the streets, the music was loud, the paint was shining, and for that moment, life was good. No matter what, Todd has always been close, bringing good energy wherever he goes. A real one. A solid brother. And there’s no way this day would be complete without him.

Louis has been Elgin’s best friend since childhood, with a bond that’s stood the test of time—from playing outside as kids to navigating the college years together. Through every chapter of life, Louis has remained a loyal, dependable, and hilarious presence. His friendship is like family, and his support means the world to Elgin.
