Justin and I met in Myrtle Beach in the summer of 2022. We both decided to spend our summer there with our college ministry, working at Walmart and doing various trainings. We became friends-ish, mostly just interacting when I had to clean up the dairy aisle cause Justin dropped a carton of eggs (this happened multiple times). We didn't talk much after that summer, as Justin headed back to college at WKU and I at UofL.

But again, we returned for another summer in Myrtle Beach in 2023. We again worked at the same Walmart together (thankfully not having to clean any of his messes this time). I heard rumors that he was going to transfer to UofL and I quietly rejoiced, as I had started to have a little crush on Justin. We continued the summer getting to know each other - playing guitar hero at the arcade, winning Spikeball games on the beach, and learning how to swing dance. Nearing the end of the 2 month trip, Justin asked me on a date! Our first date was a dinner at a restaurant on the beach, we had so much fun! With the trip ending and Justin starting to attend UofL, we started dating August of 2023.

With just over a year of having fun, lots of walks, coffee dates, and attending sporting events -- Justin asked me to marry him on October 26th, 2024 at Beckley Creek Park!

We are overjoyed and thankful for the amazing community of friends and family who have walked alongside us these past couple of years. We are thankful to Jesus for giving us the gift of salvation, the church, and each other. We can't wait to celebrate our marriage with everyone soon!
