Brooke and Brian's love story has been a unique, exciting journey.

Brooke and Brian met during the significant and challenging time of the COVID pandemic; but that did not stop the two's love from blossoming. Brooke's brother-in-law who worked at the same laboratory as Brian introduced the two.

Brian saw Brooke's pictures and was interested in getting to know her. The next day, Brooke's brother-in-law came in with a post it note with her number on it. To this day, Brian keeps that same post it note in his wallet.

They originally kept in contact through daily phone calls, as they lived 2 hours away from each other during the pandemic. Having those long conversations on the phone everyday provided the two with a very organic and fun way to get to know each other's minds and hearts. The visits they had were few and far between at first, making each time all the more special.

Brooke and Brian have been through some beautiful milestones together. They moved in together, Brian taught Brooke how to drive, they grew in their individual careers, adopted a beautiful puppy together, and got engaged!

On the beautiful fall day of October 15th, 2022, Brian took Brooke on a special, extraordinary hike at Ricketts Glen State Park. Each waterfall along the way marked an important milestone for the two; Brian left notes at each waterfall documenting a different milestone in their lives. The last waterfall represented the milestone of the rest of their lives together. Brian got down on one knee and asked for Brooke’s hand in marriage. The pair promised each other that they would continue to hike the mountain that is life, together. His speech to Brooke was eloquent, thoughtful, and powerful. Brooke felt an instant feeling of peace and ease, knowing a life with Brian will be filled with love, trust, commitment, and happiness.
