Mark and Brooke first laid eyes on each other on July 8, 2021, at a happy hour for work in Houston, TX. Brooke knew about Mark from her coworkers that had worked with him as an intern. They sung the highest of praise and Brooke was worried that this “Mark” guy was going to come in and impress the team more than she had. What’s so special about this “Mark” guy anyway? Well, the moment she met him she understood the hype right away. They connected immediately through their sharp wit, vast knowledge of Tik Tok references, and their open mindedness toward life. Brooke didn’t know, but Mark had already had his eye on her after exchanging a few instant messages at work and seeing her business professional headshot. His words to his brother were something like “look at this girl - I think I found the one!” After that night the two couldn’t stop thinking about each other and finally took the leap from coworkers to an official couple on August 20, 2021.

Before that fateful night in July of 2021, there were many ways that God worked in the lives of Brooke and Mark to bring them together. Brooke applied to many jobs in Atlanta - it being the closest city to her alma mater, The University of Georgia - but she decided to take a risk and return to her favorite state, Texas, to live in the same city as her sister. Deloitte was the only company she applied to in Houston and she was thrilled when she got the job! Mark was set on starting his career in Houston after graduating from Texas A&M but had multiple offers at different firms. He couldn’t decide and ultimately drew a name out of a cup to see where he would start his career! Brooke and Mark know that God had his hand in making sure Mark picked the small slip of paper that said “Deloitte”. There are plenty of other funny anecdotes like Mark’s dad being the referee for Brooke’s dad’s football game in the 90s, Brooke and Mark being at Cody Johnson's rodeo concert in 2017, both families attending and tailgating at the Sam Houston vs A&M football game in 2013 - the bottom line is that these two were always meant to be together.

Brooke and Mark have three pets that they love more than anything in the world named Beignet, Tatum, and Gumbo. Their pets bring them the most joy in life and they love being at home with them. When they aren’t at home, they’re on the go traveling. They’ve been lots of places together with highlights including New York City, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and of course, New Orleans. Besides that, they enjoy seeing musicals, watching sports at local bars, eating Tex-Mex, and going on walks together. These two are so excited to share their special day with their guests and can’t wait to be married!
