In the fall of 2021 Sarah (mother of the bride) went out after work and ran in to Avery and Tomas Schmitt at Gordies bar. They had got to talking and Sarah ended up recommending that Avery go out with Brooke.

Brooke was unaware any of this was happening as she was in another state with her friend at a cattle sale. On her ride home she called her mom and her mom told her she had a cute guys snapchat waiting for her.

Shortly after Avery and Brooke started talking and went on their first date on September 25, 2021 two weddings in one night. The first one was a friend of Brooke's that showed cattle with her and the second was a local wedding of a mutual friend.
