AJ and Brooke met the &nbsp;weekend of Saint Patrick's day in 2013. &nbsp;Brooke was wrapping up her time in grad school at UCSB, and her roommate (and bridesmaid) Sunny was having a few friends in town for the weekend. &nbsp;At the time,&nbsp;Brooke knew that she would be back in the bay area within a matter of months, and the last thing on her mind&nbsp;was a new boyfriend.

But, AJ happened to be one of those friends coming up for a visit. &nbsp;The two of them&nbsp;clicked right away despite his *unique* taste in clothing (Hawaiian shirts, before they were cool) and beverages (Kalimotxo). &nbsp;They ended up spending the whole weekend together - going out with friends, walking to the beach, and eating Japanese food (the real foundation of any great relationship) on their unofficial first date. &nbsp;After that, AJ simply insisted on coming back every single weekend until graduation... and it was happily ever after from that day on!





Just kidding. &nbsp;For the next 4+ years, AJ&nbsp;and Brooke learned how to start doing life together, and it wasn't always easy. &nbsp;There were highs - like reuniting in the Bay Area, lots of exciting trips, buying a place, welcoming the world's cutest puppy (they are biased) into their lives- and there&nbsp;were lows. &nbsp;Ultimately though, at the tail end of a long European getaway, they decided to continue figuring it all out together, forever!

There is adequate parking available at the venue, though we do encourage carpooling as much as possible! As noted on the Accommodations page, we may arrange a shuttle to and from the venue from Napa if many of our guests decide to stay in that area.

Finally, if you are driving to the wedding please remember that you are almost guaranteed to have to cross at least one bridge on your way! Either have those $5 bills or your FastTraks handy!!

There are lots of hotel options in the area (or Airbnb options) for our friends and family who would like to spend the night or the weekend in the area.For now, we think one of the best options would be to stay in Napa - about 30 minutes away from the venue. We are considering planning some sort of activity in Napa for the day after the wedding and/or arranging a shuttle to and from the Lighthouse from Napa if a lot of our guests choose to stay in the area.The Bel Abri is a 15 room boutique hotel, and we were able to get all the rooms set aside for our guests the weekend of the wedding. Not only does it look really nice and have great reviews, it was also one of the most reasonably priced options in the area. A few important notes:- Unfortunately, all hotel blocks in the area required a 2 night minimum stay, including the Bel Abri- YOU MUST CALL IN TO BOOK A ROOM FROM THIS BLOCK!!!If this block fills up or people are interested in staying in a different area nearby, please let us know and we'll try to set something else up!-
