Back in 2008, Erik and Brooke both started kindergarten at Cary Christian School, and little did we know we would be in each other's lives from that day forward! Although we attended the same school K-12th, we didn't have many classes together and were never in the same friend group.

Senior year quickly came around, and in November 2020, our senior class went to Newport, TN for our senior class trip. It was mostly a missions trip, helping the local community, but one day that week we went to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge. We stopped for lunch before going to the park, and it just so happened that we sat next to each other at the restaurant, quickly connecting over the fact that we both did not do well on rollercoasters.

From there on, we kept talking and it eventually led to our first date two weeks later at the Lifetime gym, bowling, and dinner at Chuy's Tex-Mex in Raleigh! We officially started dating in January of 2021, and that is why we chose January 9th, 2025 as our wedding date, as that will be our 4 year dating anniversary!

Most of our relationship we have done long distance, as Brooke has been a student at Liberty University and Erik earned his Associates in Architecture at Wake Tech Community College and now works as a home inspector in Raleigh for VIP Inspections. Even though we have lived two and a half hours apart from each other the last three years, we have always found a way to prioritize our relationship and find time for each other. We have loved every minute dating, are excited to be engaged, and are even more excited to get married!! We can't wait to celebrate our special day with you!
