Logan and I met at our church when we were in our younger teen years. We were really close friends for a couple of years before we started to like each other! I always thought he was the most fun person to be around, and I felt like we could talk about anything. He asked me to be his girlfriend when I was fifteen (crazy!!) and he was sixteen! I remember trying to listen to him talking to my Dad on the back porch about us dating. Logan and I dated all through high school. Although we wanted to get married right after high school, we decided to wait and finish college first. Logan attended a school in Chicago, Illinois, while I went to a school in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Eventually my entire family decided to move to North Carolina, so after I finished college, Logan moved to North Carolina. He started an internship at Hope Church in Asheville, North Carolina. We had both changed so much through our college experiences, but our love did not change.

After a few months of (shorter) long distance, driving up and down the mountain between Hickory and Asheville, Logan finally proposed (yayyy!!!) It was a very rainy and cold day, and Logan really had it on his heart to go "hiking". To me, that was a very normal thing for him to ask. I reluctantly said yes, even though I was so cranky the whole way there. Oops.
We hiked our way up the cold, wet, and rocky trail to the pinnacle. My attitude quickly changed the moment I saw lights glowing at the top. At the top were glowing letters that spelled out "MARRY ME". I was so surprised and so happy. I really didn't expect him to propose then, and that's what made it so much more special to me.

Logan and I are so excited for June 10th, and we cannot wait to spend our special day with you! ♥️
