Our Story

Brooke's version

On a cold February Day, I got a notification that a boy named Anthony liked me on Hinge. He sent me the first message which was a very thought out "hey". I decided to give him a chance (mostly because he had an adorable black lab on his profile). We ended up talking all day long and discovered we had many things in common. After talking nonstop for the next couple of days, Anthony asked me out. At this point, we realized that there was 90 miles between us even though we each had our radius set for 30 miles. Given that we had a lot in common, we decided that the distance wasn't a problem. On February 15th we had our first date at Chilis. I knew he was the one when he ordered chips and salsa for the table and accepted a sip of my drink when I offered (Little did he know this would lead me to believe it was acceptable to always try his food and drinks). We talked all night and were the last ones in the restaurant. After staying out till almost midnight, Anthony asked me if I wanted to go on another date. From that point on, we started spending every weekend together alternating whose place we were at. We talked on the phone every night (with our longest call being 6 hours). Around the time of our 1 year, we took a trip to Disney together. On the day we visited Magic Kingdom, Anthony got down on one knee in front of Cinderellas castle and asked me to marry him (my DREAM proposal). After I finished wiping my tears away, I couldn't stop saying "yes". It was a dream come true and I knew since the beginning that this was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.

Anthony's Version

After getting stationed in Wisconsin i decided to make the best of what i got and gave Hinge a try. Not expecting to find anything (because we all know how Wisconsin girls are) I came across this girl named Brooke. She caught my eye with some pretty cute pictures on her profile, so I sent her the best pick-up line- "Hey". Say what you want but it worked. Realizing we had some distance between we decided it wouldn't bother us. We went on our first date to Chili's that went really well (there was also some funny moments there you can ask me about). We instantly had a connection and scheduled our next date. We both really have an interest in traveling and have taken several trips. Before our trip to Disney World I decided that was the perfect place to propose. I did some research on where and how to pop the question there. I purchased the Memory Maker photo package, and decided the perfect place would be in front of Cinderella's Castle. On our second day at the park I forced Brooke to take a picture in front of the Castle. After making it seem it was a normal picture, I got down on one knee (with thousands of people watching) and asked the question. To which Brooke responded with "Oh my God, stop" and then an excited "yes". Now we are both extremely excited and cannot wait for our wedding day!
