Tyler and Brooke first met at Grand Canyon University during Brooke’s junior year of college and Tyler’s sophomore year. They quickly became close friends, spending countless hours hanging out and discussing philosophy and theology. Brooke had the biggest crush on Tyler, but Tyler simply saw her as a friend at the time.

After Brooke graduated, life took them in different directions, and their friendship naturally drifted apart. For a couple of years, they didn’t stay in touch—until late July of 2023, when Tyler called Brooke out of the blue to catch up. That one phone call reignited their connection, and by mid-August, they began spending time together again as friends.

This time, however, things were different. Tyler realized he had developed feelings for Brooke—feelings he hadn’t recognized before. When he confessed this to her, Brooke was shocked and initially felt it might be too late. Still, she couldn’t ignore the fact that she had liked him in the past, so she decided to give him a 10% chance.
