Our Story

We met in Shreveport, Louisiana, where a simple first date at a local brewery turned into something neither of us expected. Conversation flowed effortlessly, the laughter never stopped, and by the end of the night, it felt like we’d known each other for years.

Our second date sealed the deal — something just clicked. It was easy, natural, and full of that quiet certainty that this was the start of something special.

From the beginning, we connected over the things we love most: animals, cooking delicious dishes, being outdoors, and showing up for the people (and creatures!) we care about. Whether we’re working on projects on the farm, trying a new restaurant, or cooking together at home, we’ve always found joy in the simple moments and strength in supporting one another.

Reed proposed in the most magical way in my favorite place— in Central Park in New York City, right by Bow Bridge. It was the perfect blend of romance, surprise, and a scene straight out of a movie.

Now we’re counting down the days until we say “I do,” surrounded by the people who mean the most to us — and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter together.

My talented and beautiful friend from Kentucky! We met by chance formed a fast friendship surround by our love of horses, cooking, and being crafty! Tay has been my right hand for 7+ years and my life is truly better with her in it!

Friends for 15+ years, I can’t imagine walking down the aisle without her by my side! We’ve shared many laughs, memories, and unforgettable moments. Always trouble when we’re together, we also help balance each other in many ways. It was because of Julie that I moved back to Louisiana and met Reed ❤️

Megan Steely - Bridesmaid

Megan and I met when working at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in 2006. Megan took me under her wing and showed me the ropes of being an equine vet tech. We stayed in touch over the years and have always been there for each other to lend a hand or just to listen. I love Megan dearly and I’m so excited to have her with me on my special day!
