Some stories start with a big moment — ours started in our church's kitchen.
It was Brooke’s first Sunday in Auburn, right after moving into her dorm. She decided to visit Grace Auburn church, where her siblings had taken her when she would visit them at college. Little did she know, this is where she would meet Bradley. After accidentally finding herself in the kitchen, Bradley introduced himself. A quick conversation in the kitchen turned into the beginning of something neither of us could have seen coming.
We got to know each other through our community group at Grace, and over time, we became close friends — and eventually, best friends. We spent time together going to coffee shops, studying, and sharing a love for music, art, and God. Those everyday moments meant more and more as time went on.
In the spring of Bradley’s senior year, he finally asked Brooke on a first date. By the end of their first date, he was already thinking: this is the girl I’m going to marry.
After several months of dating — and a few honest conversations about the future — it became clear that we were a great match. We were in love, and we knew this was about to be an exciting adventure.
Then, on Brooke’s birthday, Bradley had a surprise planned. He called her claiming his car had broken down. She asked him what happened... He had forgotten to come up with something for that. He said, Just hurry! At this point, Brooke was suspicious and began to feel pretty excited.
As the sun set, Bradley asked Brooke to marry him — and she said yes.
Now, we’re looking forward to a lifetime of coffee dates, listening to music, and all the little moments that we love to share with one another— and we can’t wait to celebrate the start of our union with all the people who’ve supported us along the way.
