Where is the ceremony and reception taking place?
Both the ceremony and reception will take place at The Midnight Gem in Swisher, IA. The ceremony will be outside, while the reception will be in the Grand Hall.
Is there a dress code?
Our friends and family are encouraged to dress up with us for the special occasion! We ask for dressy casual attire to be worn for the evening. Wanting to match the wedding color scheme? Wear neutral, black, brown, and pink colors. No white of course! See color palette below.
What do I wear for Dressy Casual attire?
Women:
Cocktail to midi-length dresses, jumpsuits, midi skirts/dress pants with blouses.
Heels, wedges, dressy sandals, flats, etc.
Solid colors, floral prints, and textured fabrics are acceptable.
Men:
Button-down dress shirt, polo
Chinos, trousers, dress pants
Dress shoes, nice sneakers, etc.
What NOT to wear:
white, jeans, flip flops
How do I RSVP?
Please RSVP via The Knot by using the 'RSVP' tab at the top of the page (or if you are using a mobile phone, it will be located under the 3 lines on the upper left-hand side) and type in your full name to find your reservation & the number of guests you can bring OR you can call/text Brooke or Cole. Please RSVP by the deadline as this will give us time to finish up last minute details!
Where should I park?
There is a circle drive at the front entrance if you are in need of dropping any guests off. A large parking lot is available on-site.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP online also. If you have any questions please reach out.
Can we bring our children?
Invitations will be specific and will include the names of children who are invited. Take this evening as an opportunity to have a date night for yourselves.
Will there be hotel accommodations/transportation?
Nearby hotel recommendations are found on the travel section of this website. Please plan to arrange for your own transportation to and from the venue. Uber/Lyfts will be accessible. All vehicles must be gone by 7:30am the following morning.
Can I take photos/videos?
During the "unplugged" ceremony, we kindly ask that you refrain from any photos and videos. However after the ceremony, we would love to have as many photos and videos as possible! A QR code will be displayed around the venue linked to a shared album so that you can easily share photos/videos with us throughout the night.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CAN'T MAKE IT?
You will be missed! If you're not able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!!
