Brooke & Chase met officially in person at an edcamp for school leaders in Louisville, Kentucky.

After several months of continued collaboration on Twitter, Brooke and Chase supported the hiring of the new superintendent in Nelson County Schools. Chase had the gout and was on crutches this night.

Chase & Brooke were both hired in Nelson County Schools in 2018. This photo represents the beginning of a beautiful friendship and the best professional collaboration either of us have ever experienced.

Brooke continued to harass Chase from behind the lens, making him feel awkward every chance she had.

We created "The Community Brew" together and filmed a really awkward video in Brooke's basement office, encouraging staff to attend this little crazy idea of ours. Bless our hearts.

Creating together, whether it be events, projects or systems, is one of our favorite things to do together. Creating is at the foundation of our friendship. The Community Brew will always hold a special place in both of our hearts.

During our time at Nelson County Schools, we were each others biggest advocates, most consistent annoyances and loudest cheerleaders. Pictured here, Chase drove to Bellarmine to cheer Brooke on during a big keynote at KyGoDigital conference.

Another big project we collaborated on was the production of a children's book written by 900+ students across Nelson County Schools to promote literacy, celebrate our community and support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. It will always be one of our favorite projects together. (But let the record show, we drove each other crazy during this one.)

Fast forward to Quarantine 2020, Chase and Brooke were trying desperately to help everyone stay and feel connected during a difficult season, we started "The Community Brew" but did it virtually through YouTube live. After several years of friendship, two divorces, too many projects to count, The Quarantine Experience, several weeks of a fall out from a disagreement... Chase and Brooke spent an afternoon talking things over and before the night was over, Brooke told him she loved him and the rest was history.

From that evening on July 20, Chase & Brooke knew this was forever but blending a family of six was going to be a challenge. A few months later, we started gradually introducing the kids to each other and doing activities as the circus we are today.

Fall break 2020, we decided to have a STAYcation and each of us planned a few days around a theme. Chase really romanced Brooke by renting a cotton candy machine on the "Wizard of Oz" day to represent the tornado. One of Brooke's favorite memories forever and ever.

One of Chase & Brooke's favorite places to be is the cabin at Aunt Di & Uncle D's house. It's our special retreat and although Chase tried to get Brooke to shoot a deer that was 4 ft in front of her, she had much better luck out the kitchen window at Poppy & Gigi's. Still no deer was found from the shot fired, but she still has that #BuckFever.

Happy birthday to Brooke & our first Thanksgiving together. Chase surprised Brooke with a fancy cake with white roses.

Our first Christmas together was spent with Chinese take out and a Die Hard marathon.

While the kids were away at kidcation, Chase finally gave up waiting for the perfect time (or the second coming, who knows) and officially asked Brooke to marry him. He gave her the ring + wedding set that his daddy gave his momma and Brooke will likely cry every time she sees it on her finger, henceforth and forevermore amen.
