Our Wedding

Let’s start from the very beginning! Our mom’s were pregnant with us at the same time and both of our families were friends our entire lives. We had a mutual friend throughout our childhood who we both hung out with at the same time (Brooklyn didn’t ever remember Garrett). We met again freshman year of college when Garrett was starting a Bible study. We both thought the other was very cute but Garrett was a little more shy to showing his crush than Brooklyn was! Eventually, another mutual friend told Garrett, “if you don’t date her I will!” And thus, this led to him finally asking her out on a date, that he had to postpone due to being in OK. He took her to Saltgrass for the first date and then Braum’s for dessert (she felt bad for him paying for dinner so she paid for ice cream). After that, the dating started! We put our relationship through the wringer the first few months of dating with the ideas of school, career changes, and medical diagnoses.  There was an instant connection between us two and we instantly became best friends as our relationship grew! After a year and a half of dating (and getting a dog together) he proposed on Brooklyn’s parents’ anniversary! Now it’s time for a hectic but happy wedding planning!
