It all started from the small jokes and nicknames senior year of highschool 2019. From there, we did the distance to going to separate colleges 3 hours away from one another. In spring of 2020 COVID hit and we found out we were having a baby. We spent spring and summer together 24/7 as COVID did not allow us to do much else. We took this journey a lot faster than we had planned, but knew we would be okay and that we would have to grow up fast. In October of 2020, we had our little boy Bennett who we both fell deeply in love with. We got a small apartment, I continued school and we learned how to grow as a family. In the fall of 2021, We celebrated Bennett turning one year old and moved to Montevideo. We adjusted well to all the family support. I continued college at SMSU commuting back and forth. Austin worked for a butcher shop as the manager, which made him constantly cook the best meals! In May of 2023, I graduated college in Social work and accepted a job through Greater Minnesota Family Services servicing kiddos in Appleton, MN. Austin also took on a new position of groundskeeper for Montevideo schools. This was an incredibly busy month to start our summer. We enjoyed all of the fun nights camping, hanging out with family and friends, and chasing our little man. On September 17th, 2023 Austin asked me to marry him and of course I said YES! In October, we bought a house! We have spent the rest of our journey continuing to value our time with one another, raising our now little 3 year old, doing house projects, going on many dates, and teasing one another daily like we are still in high school.
