Our story began in August 2021 at Texas A&M’s freshman orientation retreat—Fish Camp. We happened to ride the same bus, which is where we first met. During a game of "speed dating" Wyatt happened to find a seat next to Brooklyn. Between conversations and laughter throughout the retreat, we quickly became friends and kept in touch after camp.
Once freshman year began, Brooklyn joined Zeta Tau Alpha and soon became close friends with several girls Wyatt had gone to high school with. Through that group, we found ourselves hanging out all the time in those first few weeks—movie nights, study breaks, and hangouts in Callaway that slowly turned into something more. This was when Wyatt decided he needed to find a way to turn these group hangouts into one on one.
One Sunday, Wyatt asked Brooklyn to go to church with him at Declaration in College Station. After the service, we grabbed lunch at Fuego…and that meal became our very first date.
On October 12, 2021, we made it official! On top of West Campus parking garage of all places. Wyatt asked Brooklyn to be his girlfriend with flowers and Whataburger, and of course she said "YES"!
From there, we’ve done just about everything together—road trips, date nights, date parties, family events, and keeping our tradition of post-church Fuego dates. Even during summers apart, we made long-distance work because we knew what we had was worth it.
On April 18, 2025, Wyatt surprised Brooklyn at Bernhardt Winery and asked Brooklyn to marry him, and she said yes!
We are so excited to be getting married in August 2026 and cannot wait to celebrate with all of you as we begin the next chapter of our story. ALL GLORY TO GOD!!! He is so good in writing a story that we get to live. We ask for prayers that our story may ultimately reflect the story of Christ pursuing His church for the rest of our lives!
