In 2016 Jerod started his own business and by 2019 Brooke's grandfather was one of his regular customers. Brooke was in college at the time and when her grandfather approached her about "the perfect guy for her" she declined allowing her grandpa to set her up with anyone. Years later, after Brooke's grandfathers passing, close family and friends once again suggested that Brooke and Jerod get to know one another. After their first date in December 2021, it became clear Jerod was in fact the perfect guy for Brooke. The pair became engaged on September 1st, 2023.

Jerod and Brooke love staying busy and are both very devoted and passionate about their work. They have two dogs, Kira and Ozzy, and enjoy being outside checking their cows. They love traveling together and have a goal to see all 50 states. They enjoy spending summers on their boat and regularly attend Salem Baptist Church.
