If I'm flying to the wedding, what is the best airport to fly into?
It's best to look for flights into Philadelphia (PHL) or Baltimore-Washington (BWI). PHL is 80 miles from Rehoboth Beach and it usually takes 2 hours to drive. BWI is 113 miles and the drive takes about 2 1/2 hours.
Where should we stay?
Please see more information on the group block we have at The Avenue Inn. Otherwise, it would be a good idea to look at vacation rental homes on VRBO or JackLingo.com.
If I'm flying in, should I rent a car?
Yes! That will be the easiest way to travel between the airport and Rehoboth, plus it will be convenient for you to get around town. And if you're driving in from the DC/Baltimore area, please be mindful of the MPH signs along the drive, especially in the small towns!
Will there be transportation provided to the wedding ceremony?
Yes, we are planning on having three buses travel back and forth between Rehoboth and Fort Miles. We do encourage some of you to drive to the ceremony, however the buses can transport 144 people. We will be posting a sign up sheet online in the weeks prior to the wedding.
Will I get to spend time with Teddy?
Although Teddy won't be able to attend the ceremony (unfortunately, no animals allowed) we will provide many options for you to see Teddy throughout the weekend! :)
What is the attire for the wedding day?
Many of you have asked for some guidance on appropriate attire for the day. We are going for a "beach formal" day, keeping in mind that we won't be on the actual sand at anytime that day and that it will still be springtime. Dresses or jumpsuits and blazers with slacks are perfect. Ties are not a must, only optional. Keep in mind we will be outside for the ceremony and cocktail hour, so layer up appropriately. Have fun with your look, be comfortable and come ready for a fun day and night!
My invite said I need to RSVP by February 30th - when is that?
If you are one of the guests whom questioned this RSVP date, this is our attempt at starting a campaign to give February more dates since they are short changed compared to all other months! Don't you agree?! It may have also been a typo, but we know you're all smart people and will be able to RSVP by late February or early March. :)
Is there a registry for gifts?
We are truly fortunate to have most of the essential items we need in our lives so we won't be creating a registry. Instead, we will soon be providing links on this website to a few charities and organizations where we would welcome you to make a donation in lieu of gifts. This is not an expectation, just an option for anyone wanting to make a donation.
If I'm going to the Sunday Drag Brunch at The Pines, what do I need to know?
First, be sure to be there at 11:30 am because that will give you time to get seated, settled and order drinks/food. Plus, you don't want to be made fun of by a drag queen because you were LATE. Second, and probably more important - bring cash for tips! You'll want to tip at least $1 or more to each drag per song they perform. The Pines will come to your tables to make change if you only come in with $20's. But tipping your queens is very important! :) Lastly, enjoy, laugh and have fun! You'll have a great time!
