Luke and Bry both graduated high school in 2017: Bry from Ballard High School in small town Iowa, and Luke from Maine West High School in the Chicago suburbs. In fall 2017, Luke headed to Columbia College and Bry headed to DePaul University. Columbia being a private arts school and DePaul being a private Catholic school... both lacked things to do. Often times they'd find themselves with their friends from their respective colleges wandering around the city. One fateful night when neither Luke nor Bry were out with their friends, Tyrel, Luke's friend from Columbia, and Sydnee, Bry's friend from DePaul met in downtown Chicago. They exchanged information and talked about looking for things to do around the city, and they promised to keep the other group informed. They held true to that promise, and soon Sydnee's DePaul crew and Tyrel's Columbia crew all met, which included Luke and Bry. The crews became friends and continued hanging out and getting closer for the rest of college. *Shoutout Tyrel and Sydnee :)

Part 1: 

Fast forward and both Bry and Luke made it through their last year of unanticipated virtual college. Bry was living in Old Irving Park and it just so happened that the family who lived upstairs in the same 3-flat as her were moving out after living there for 25 years. This happened just as Tyrel and Luke were looking for a place. When they moved in, Bry and Luke were friends, but didn't know each other super well. Living one floor apart was the perfect opportunity to hang out and learn more about each other. Bry and Luke discovered several coincidental childhood similarities during this time. One of them being their cabins in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, 6 hours from Chicago, and 45-minutes from each other. Hayward is the central town between the two cabins and they bonded over all of their fun times there. They probably crossed paths as children at the candy shop they both know and love. Hanging out in one of the apartments as a crew became a nearly everyday occurrence and they all were closer than ever.

Part 2:

After about a year of living in the same 3-flat, people started getting curious about Luke and Bry's friendship. Their friends had started asking if there was something there. They would laugh and say no, just good friends. There came a point when not only their friends were asking, but their siblings and each of their moms too. They say mothers know best, and neither mom had asked them anything like this before so.... Bry and Luke decided to give it a shot. And well, here they are. ❤
