As most of you know, we are not the "fancy" type and we LOVE to throw a party!
We have been told weddings go by in a flash and as we want to actually spend time with you all and enjoy the weekend, we figured we needed more than the standard 6 hours to do that.
With guests coming from across Australia, it would bring us so much joy to see our family and friends getting together, relaxing and having a nice break from the rat race that is our busy lives
SO...after some thorough research we found Midginbil Hill and this place is just amazing!
A whole property for a whole weekend for JUST US!
Guests are invited to stay Friday & Saturday evening, however if you wish to stay one night or only attend the ceremony & reception, you are more than welcome (Please make note of this in your RSVP).
We are thrilled to be celebrating our wedding with you, but also want this weekend to be a mini holiday for everyone attending.
Please RSVP Before 11/09/2022
Accomodation needs to be confirmed ASAP and will go on a first in best dressed situation.
If you know you are able to attend and have your selections made - Let us know so we can secure your room.
Accomodation Payments are due before 12/10/2022
If you would like a payment plan / instalments to spread the cost out - let us know! We would love to do what we can to help you be able to stay with us.
All guests will need to travel a short distance to the ceremony and back to the reception.
There will be a fun convoy and a nice scenic drive to the Fig Tree, where we are to be wed.
All details will be shared by our wedding Coordinator Renee at Lunch on Saturday and written on the white board in the guesthouse.
All accomodation is walking distance from the Barn, where we will be holding our reception & party - No Ubers Needed here!
YES! We encourage you to reach out to other guests that you know (You can peep the confirmed guest list at the RSVP Page) to organise some fun sleepover parties in the bunk house however if you are in a couple or a family, you will not be required to share accommodation with anyone outside your group.
We will do our best where we can to cater for everyones needs.
There is plenty of accommodation for us all to stay, be comfortable and have fun however please be mindful that older, travelling guests and parents with babies will have first priority for the Lodge rooms.
The rest goes on first in best dressed basis.
No! We will have the whole place to ourselves.
Besides the staff at Midginbil and the wedding vendors you can be assured that there will be no strangers or people who we don't know sharing the venue with us!
A wedding outfit (Smart Casual) and everyday clothes for Friday-Sunday, swimmers (if you want to cool off in the pool!).
If you are camping or in the Bunkhouse, please bring a pillow, sleeping bag/linen, and towel. Linen packs can be purchased for a fee. Campers will obviously also need a tent, swag, van etc.
BYO drinks and snacks in an esky if you would like a beverage before or after the reception. The venue supplies all meals for those staying the weekend / Sunday Breakfast.
The bar will be stocked and bottomless for the reception, but if you like something unique - feel free to BYO!
Due to our location we have very limited phone service. Mostly, only Telstra phones work. We will have a landline phone in the homestead entrance in the alcove, which can be used for emergencies and upon request.
There will be some stone-age WIFI in the barn where we are holding the reception so those with smart phones and are leaving children at home, can get in touch via messenger apps.
The most important thing is to have you with us on our special day. No gifts are needed or expected, however, we have been asked by guests what we need or would like.
If you do wish to gift us something, a little cash to go towards buying our forever home would be very much appreciated however is not necessary at all!
