Our Wedding

Our story begins in the dorms of Britton hall at Western Michigan University! Rachel was the social extrovert that wanted to meet everyone on the floor. Bryan was very much the opposite. Rachel and her suitemates were determined to get Bryan to be included in floor dinners in the Cafe. After some convincing, Bryan was quickly included and accepted in the floor friend group! This led to many more dinners, group gatherings, studying, lots visits to The Library - you know, to study!

Bryan nervously asked Rachel to their first date wayyyyy back in November of 2015 at a small jazz bar in Kalamazoo called The Union. The first date went well - even though the restaurant was too loud to hear anything! This turned into more dates and eventually Bryan asked Rachel to be his Girlfriend!

First Date

After years of dating, we planned a celebratory vacation as Rachel completed nursing school. What a better place to pop the question than in beautiful St. Thomas, USVI. Rachel claims to have known all along but Bryan will tell you he was plenty sneaky about it.

The Big Question

Who plans a wedding right after the engagement anyway? We set up to explore the world instead! We traveled to Paris and all over Italy instead! We made incredible memories that we'll remember for the rest of our lives! We also got to meet the rest of the family there for the last portion of the trip! Is that a wedding ring on Bryan's finger? What a good joke. Nothing like playing a prank on your friends stuck in the states
