Bryan and Taylor met through mutual friends at Cedarville University where they both played basketball. Bryan was a senior and Taylor was a sophomore when they first officially met in the fall of 2022. After many evenings of Taylor and her friends hanging out at the guys’ house, Taylor concluded that Bryan was a serious guy heavily focused on his studies with little interest in partaking in any silliness or pursuing a relationship. Bryan concluded early on that Taylor was not an option for a potential girlfriend and that she was not interested in him. In reality, Taylor had been secretly admiring Bryan from the beginning and his interest in her had been growing. Their spark was realized when they decided to go with their friends to buy a Christmas tree one evening in November. Bryan went out of his way to sit by Taylor and engage in conversation. That was the night she got her first glimpse at his fun side and at the same time he realized he should start pursuing her. After a couple months of building memories and getting to know each other, Bryan finally asked Taylor to be his girlfriend on their way to a date night at La Colombiana on January 14, 2023.
