Our love story is a true testament to God's love and faithfulness in our lives. Our story points straight to Him with no other alternatives. We never would have imagined that we would meet on the very first day of college orientation, when Bryant let me go in front of him on the stairs in the gym of MVNU and then proceeded to walk around with me all day as we got to know a little bit about one another. After meeting him, I had a feeling about him that I couldn't quite explain at the time; but it was one that was confirmed when I found out that my mom had met his parents (unknowingly) at the same time during a parent meeting. I was told that night by a close family friend that "I had just met my future husband." I never would've imagined all God had in store. Fast forward a few months when Bryant slid into the DM's and our first conversation was about Jesus. I think I knew from that moment he was someone I wanted in my life. After talking a few more times over text over the summer (thank you twenty-first century technology), we arrived at college freshman move-in day. He messaged me again after I posted about my dorm room, to which I responded, "do you eat?" (really smooth, Morgan). Needless to say, he looked past my awkwardness to translate it as an invitation to breakfast, which led to being study buddies, which led to spending more time together, leading to star-gazing nights and watching sunsets from a lookout tower. Bryant pursued my heart patiently and intentionally and finally (after 3 months of pursuing) we began to date on October 4, 2021. We knew we wanted to approach dating intentionally with the intent of finding who we were going to marry, and soon, it became clear that this was it. After a year and a half of dating, he went to my parents to ask for their blessing with a 27 slide powerpoint (talk about a prepared man) and after receiving it, the engagement planning began, which led to the sweetest proposal at the Columbus Zoo on December 18, 2022 catching me completely by surprise, even after making him empty his pockets on the way because I was suspicious; not knowing his dad was holding onto the ring for him. Both our families were in on the surprise, and as it turns out, I think it's true that the sweetest things in life are often unexpected. By pursuing Christ first, He brought us to one another as well. And the rest is history. :)
