HOW WE MET
It all began at a worship night called Footsteps. On September 16, 2022, Drew and Bryce both attended the worship night and made small talk. The only thing they remember about the conversation is that they talked about Harry Potter. Sparks didn't fly because Drew was more interested in making girl friends at the time, but the foundation was laid.
A GROWING FRIENDSHIP
Drew quickly became friends with Bryce's girl friends and they became accustomed to seeing each other at church and different group activities. Feelings fluctuated over time until the Spring of 2023 when they found themselves spending more one-on-one time together in person and on the phone.
FIRST DATE
When it became clear that feelings were developing beyond a friendship, Bryce asked Drew on a date. They went to Flower Child and enjoyed each other's company at a picnic. The conversation flowed easily and the most awkward part was acclimating themselves to being more than friends.
THE PROPOSAL
After dating for over a year with many ups and downs, Bryce and Drew were ready for engagement. They had attended Merge, Watermark Community Church's pre-marital class, and the conversations regarding engagement were becoming more concrete. Given Drew's desire for a unique ring, Bryce and Drew began looking for a ring together. Bryce asked Drew's father, Eric, for his blessing, and proceeded with planning. On the way to the "birthday dinner" (proposal site), Drew was giving Bryce a hard time about getting a move on with the proposal. Little did she know, Bryce was about to get on one knee and tell her that he loves her for the first time.
NOW, HERE WE ARE
After years of laughter, crying, and much growth, we are ready to make a covenant before God and before our favorite people. We consider each other best friends and partners in life, and we are looking forward to continuing this story as husband and wife. God has given us grace upon grace, and one of those gifts is the opportunity to make memories celebrating our marriage with you on our wedding day!
