Our story, oh, where to start? I guess we start at the beginning in Manhattan, Kansas 2018. In the basement of our best friends house preparing for game night (yeah, both of the couple is a best friend of ours), we met and hung out in person for the first time.
You may know that both Bryce and I are avid computer game players, and we would hang out over the internet, often both before that meeting and for many years after. If you ask Bryce, he'll tell you he knew I was the one from that day, while I (being the ditz that I am) had no idea.
To make a long story shorter, I went to school in St Kitts, and we stayed in contact via video games. I returned to the States for good and right as I was finishing school, Bryce and I started dating. Shortly after though, it then became time for me to make a decision of staying in Kansas or moving to Colorado.
Colorado has always been a dream of mine, and I knew this was the perfect opportunity. When I got the job in Castle Rock, CO, at Veterinary Specialist of the Rockies, I informed Bryce that I was leaving. With almost no hesitation, Bryce's response was alright, then he sold his house and planned to move with me to continue our relationship.
About 13 months later, while we were back in Kansas for a KSU Band golf tournament, Bryce asked me if we wanted to go to Wildcat Crossing to let Nyx swim (Wildcat crossing is also our first date location). Little did I know, again, that he had some big, big plans. Wildcat Crossing is one of my favorite locations in Manhattan. If you like history, it is an over 100 year old walnut grove with a little stream, and it's gorgeous. Before I knew what was happening, I turned around, and he was on one knee asking me for my hand in marriage. I said yes, (clearly haha).
Currently, we are living in Colorado, and we purchased our own home in Castle Rock. Wahoo! My dog Nyx is excited for the wedding and is practicing her strut for when she carries the rings down the aisle. We are all very excited for our future and are eternally grateful for all that can and can not attend. All gifts will be cherished, and even if you can not monetarily gift, prayers are always welcomed and appreciated.
We love you all, and thank you for everything,
Bryce and Abigail
