Our Wedding

We first met in October 2023 when my brother, Austin, invited Murray over after a required church service for college. Just two months later, in December, we went on our first date at Village Inn — and became official the same day. Over the next year, we built our relationship on faith, intentional communication, and a love of ice cream. From our weekly dinner dates to movie marathons, we found joy in quality time together. Some of our favorite milestones have been celebrating our first anniversary, exploring ice cream shops, and indeed watching all the Star Wars movies! On August 23, 2025, Murray proposed. After meeting one of his friends and his wife for lunch at the Tavern, we stopped at Nelson’s in Stillwater for ice cream. From there, we went for a walk along the St. Croix River. When we reached a part in the trail that stretched over the water, Murray asked the question that would begin our forever. Murray is currently studying Mechanical Engineering, and I am studying English Writing. Together, we value faith and finding meaningful ways to spend time with each other. A fun detail I love to share: the night before we started dating, I revealed I had never seen the Star Wars movies. So, Murray, Austin, and Caleb all started watching one with me. Murray insisted he could never fall asleep during Star Wars — but by the time the movie was three-quarters through, I was the only one still awake.
