Q + A

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Please arrive to The Gillis Place around 3:30 p.m. to allow time for parking and getting seated before the procession begins at 4:00 p.m.

Is there parking at the ceremony location?

Yes! There is plenty of parking to the right side of the venue in a large field.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

In order to ensure we are all fully present, we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer to capture this special moment and we would be happy to send you any pictures upon request. During cocktail hour and the reception, please feel free to take as many pictures as you would like!

Are children allowed at the wedding?

We have chosen to make our special day an ADULTS ONLY celebration, with exception of wedding party children, or if you live out of state! We ask if you live near by to leave kids with a sitter if possible due to limited capacity. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to join us for our big day! Your understanding means the world to us, and we can't wait to celebrate with you.

Can I bring a plus one?

To accommodate all guests comfortably within the venue's capacity, we ask that only invited guests attend our wedding festivities. We truly appreciate your understanding!

Will there be an open bar?

We will have beer and wine provided, but you are welcome to bring whatever you please. No glass bottles!

Do I have to RSVP?

Yes. An RSVP is required for everyone. It is essential in planning for the ceremony seating and reception meals. If we do not get an RSVP back by the date that we provided, it will be marked as a "No."

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

Both! The ceremony will be outside, following will be cocktail hour and reception that will be indoor/outdoor. We will have games such as corn hole, bocce ball, darts, beer pong, outside!

What is the dress code?

Semi-formal.

If I'm coming from out of town, where should I stay?

There is a Super 8 in Nixa, AmericInn in Republic, or Springfield has a lot of hotels!
