Luke and Bryn's story began with a first date at Heartwell Park. Luke took Bryn to get her favorite coffee drink, an iced caramel macchiato, otherwise known as "The Bryn". They then went to the park to try and feed the ducks. Instead, they were swarmed by a flock of geese and had to find refuge on a park bench.

Shortly after their relationship began, summer was over and Luke had to return to the University of Central Arkansas for school and track, while Bryn attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. They spent two years in a long-distance relationship, traveling 10 hours to see each other during school and holiday breaks. In 2022, Luke graduated from Arkansas and was able to return to Nebraska to pursue his graduate degree. He is now at the University of Nebraska- Kearney, while Bryn is still in Lincoln hoping to graduate in the spring of 2024. They still do distance, but 2 hours is better than 10 right?

In August of 2023, they returned to Heartwell Park with coffee and peas to feed the ducks. Only this time, Luke had a surprise in store. He proposed to Bryn while her mom and sister hid in the bushes to capture the moment. Now the couple's adventure continues while they finish school and plan for May 4th, 2024. Hope to see you in May!
