Day Trips

Les Gorges du Verdon

If you're looking for a day trip - this is the place. Known as the Grand Canyon of France, this Gorge is about 2 hours away from Nice. Rent canoes and venture into the Gorge, or take the scenic driving route along the sides to get the view from above.

the Villages of Luberon

Nestled in the heart of Provence, lies a breathtaking region known as Luberon. With its charming villages, lush vineyards and stunning landscapes, it’s no surprise that this area has become a popular destination for tourists seeking an authentic French experience.

Whether you’re looking to explore quaint cobblestone streets or indulge in local cuisine, the Luberon villages offer something for everyone.

Bonus points if you find Lavender fields - they are typically in full bloom June - August.

Aix-en-Provence

Aix-en-Provence is a vibrant, lively town with all you would expect in a Provencal town - sunny squares filled with cafes, broad avenues lined with trees, and a substantial historical city center lined with boutiques and beautiful houses...and more cafes.

Visit Pâtisserie Béchard for the tastiest and most beautiful treats.

OR

Grab a sandwich from any boulangerie and picnic in garden at the Pavillon Vendôme.

Monaco

Although very different from the other recommendations - Monaco is the place where the rich and famous come - full of luxurious hotels, resorts and casinos.

You will quickly notice that everything is strangely perfect - the sidewalks, the streets, the buildings are all spotlessly clean - the whole country just looks like one big outdoor shopping mall!

Definitely worth a visit, but wouldn't spend more than an afternoon there unless you're looking to spend all your money.

Fête du Jasmin

Every year on the first weekend of August, the annual Jasmine Festival – Fête du Jasmin – takes place in the beautiful medieval town of Grasse. Enjoy dances, music, concerts, exhibitions, processions and fireworks. All in honor of the city's gold – the perfume.

The 2025 Fête du Jasmin in Grasse, France will take place from August 1-3. The festival is open every day.
