Brynn and Hunter met at a women’s soccer party while attending undergrad at The Ohio State University. Although Brynn and Hunter both played soccer at OSU, they had never met each other prior to that night. Hunter noticed a girl playing flip cup by herself and proceeded to strike up a conversation. Brynn, who was a blonde at the time, had a medical-grade boot on, and a lovely white dress. Hunter had heard about how beautiful Brynn was from friends, but she was even more stunning than he had imagined. The two hit it off, and the night ended with Hunter giving Brynn a piggyback ride to her apartment where they exchanged numbers.

Months went by and Hunter was persistent in trying to win Brynn over. Although Hunter fell head over heels for Brynn, Brynn did not feel the same way at first…something about Hunter needing to mature (still a work in progress). Brynn ultimately told Hunter that she just wanted to be friends (ouch).

Over the proceeding months, Hunter’s feelings for Brynn never faded. Hunter, around this time, was making music with a friend, and in just about every song, Hunter’s lyrics revolved around Brynn. She was constantly on his mind. Hunter had a feeling Brynn was the one, and if they were meant to be, then they would ultimately end up together.

Around the fall of 2017, Brynn and Hunter started talking again, but this time things were different. After going on several dates, the couples’ relationship began to flourish. It felt natural, like they were always meant to be together. Brynn attended one of Hunter’s soccer games, where afterwards she met Hunter’s family. His family had nothing but great things to say about Brynn, and it didn’t take long for her to be invited on family vacations. To this day, Hunter believes his family may actually love Brynn more than him. Brynn introduced Hunter to her parents at an Ohio State Football tailgate at Brynn’s house on campus. Hunter had shaved his facial hair in preparation for meeting Brynn’s parents. However, when Hunter introduced himself to Brynn’s mother, she said hello and walked away seconds later. Turns out, she had no idea it was Hunter who introduced himself since Hunter had facial hair in the pictures Brynn showed her. At the time, Hunter thought he was in the doghouse, but now it is a funny memory the couple loves to look back on. After getting to know Brynn’s parents later at the tailgate, it was easy to see where Brynn got all of her incredible qualities from.

After getting to know each other’s families better, and spending more and more time together, a feeling of forever started to sink in. In fact, it only took a couple months of dating for Hunter to spill the “I love you” to Brynn. Luckily for Hunter, the feeling was mutual.

Following graduation from The Ohio State University, Brynn went on to get her CPA, passing all four tests on her first attempts (what a stud). Brynn’s work ethic and unwavering determination have always been qualities that Hunter has admired about Brynn. Hunter was in law school at the time, and to this day, Hunter does not believe he would have gotten through law school without Brynn’s love and support (and the love of their friends and family of course), as well as her constant encouragement.

Fast forward to the summer of 2023, and 5 incredible years of dating, Hunter started to get asked consistently whether he was going to propose to Brynn. His family loved Brynn unconditionally, and it was like she was already part of their family, but it was not yet official. Hunter had known for years that he wanted to marry Brynn but wanted to wait for things to be perfect before proposing. However, over the past year, Hunter realized life will never be perfect, but having Brynn in his life was about as close to perfect as it gets. Luckily, almost all of Brynn’s family would be in town for the Memorial Golf Tournament in her hometown of Dublin, Ohio, which presented a perfect opportunity to propose to Brynn and to celebrate the engagement with friends and family.

After tricking Brynn into going with him to Bridge Park, Hunter proposed on the bridge, where he had his father waiting in hiding to capture the moment on camera. The surprise and joy on Brynn’s face will be something Hunter remembers forever, and it will be a day the couple remembers for the rest of their lives. The future Mr. and Mrs. Robertson want to thank their friends and families for being so loving and supporting of their relationship. Brynn and Hunter are extremely excited to start this next chapter of their life together and are looking forward to celebrating their love with family and friends on June 15, 2024.
