Brynn and Nikolas’s story began with a simple message shared between them. Brynn had learned of Nikolas through their mutual friend and reached out to begin conversation. This quickly developed into more and they shared their first date in Brynn’s college town. After leaving and making dinner at Brynn’s apartment, Nikolas asked her to be his girlfriend. Fast forward through the years, they shared countless memories hiking around Arlington, launching lanterns, and painting numerous artworks. It was this love of art that Nikolas used as inspiration for the proposal. They had a painting picnic where Nikolas swapped his with a painting of two rings that he created prior. However, right before asking the question, a wasp flew around Brynn and almost ruined the surprise. Fortunately, she did not notice the camera or the painting, and sat down again to finish hers. Nikolas then reset the camera before kneeling and asking the question. Brynn said yes and they both enjoyed a lovely dinner shortly after.
