John and Brynn first met on both of their first shifts at Miss Hannah’s Gourmet Popcorn. After a couple of shifts, and with a shared sense of humor, they became close friends. Brynn would often hangout at John and his roommates house in Newberg. The two shared many adventures together, including surfing at the beach, exploring Oregon, or flying above their homes in Beaverton. At the end of 2021, they both moved to opposite ends of the continent, John to Alaska and Brynn to Florida.

After some time apart and John moving back to Oregon, he heard she was coming into town for a friend’s wedding. He was ecstatic at the chance to hangout with her again, so he invited her on a fake first date (just as friends!). Fortunately, the date went so well that they started real dating soon after. They enjoyed a year of dating, traveling around the country, and exploring Oregon. John then asked Brynn to marry him in the west hills of Portland where she enthusiastically said yes.
