It was Saturday, February 28th, 2015, when Brynna spotted Reese playing his sub-section basketball game against New London Spicer at St. John's University. As Reese would tell the story, Brynna was so smitten with him and "impressed" by his athleticism that she decided to Snapchat him later that night to congratulate him.

Their 7-year long relationship can be credited to that one Snapchat message, and, as Brynna never lets Reese forget, her making the first move.

Their first date was less than romantic - meeting at the Redbox at McDonald's and picking out a movie to watch at Brynna's house. Reese holds true that he was more nervous to meet Brynna's dad than he was to play in the State Championship football game at US Bank Stadium.

Brynna went to college at the University of Minnesota Duluth while Reese finished his senior year of high school. Reese then went to play football at St. Scholastica in Duluth.

Reese and Brynna's favorite dates together include golfing, with Reese's goal to one day have Brynna on his scramble team ;-), listening to Crime Junkie podcasts on long car rides, binge-watching Game of Thrones, playing card games like Euchre or Hearts with family, uncovering hole-in-the-wall breakfast spots, or cooking breakfast at home while listening to classic country music.

On March 6, 2021, Reese visited Brynna in Duluth with the goal of proposing to her while they were making breakfast in the kitchen (a ritual for them with every visit). Reese had the idea to record the proposal by leaning his phone against Brynna's tea box on the counter. Reese claims Brynna kept pushing the tea box away from the edge and back against the wall, delaying him from setting his phone up. With some thoughtful determination and distraction, Reese got down on one knee.

Brynna and Reese are overjoyed to celebrate the sacrament of marriage with their loved ones and continue to grow in love for each other!
