How It All Began

Following Bryson's 2024 graduation from North Dakota State University, he moved to Davenport, Iowa, to pursue a career in engineering. Aiming to find a church, his brother, Haakon, recommended that he attend Sacred City Church. During his first week of attendance, Bryson approached the Missional Community (MC) table, where Lily's MC leader stood, and was invited to join the Windsor Crest MC. The first week Bryson went to MC, Lily was in the backyard helping grill burgers for dinner. Upon walking inside with a plate of cooked hamburgers, she made eye contact with Bryson and, without putting the burgers down, immediately ran back outside to tell her friend about the "cute new guy" at MC. Thanks to a few mutual friends, Lily would quickly find Bryson on social media, requesting to follow him later that night. A few weeks later, Bryson messaged Lily on Instagram, asking for her phone number so they could get to know each other better. Over the course of a few weeks, Lily and Bryson discovered that they shared many long-term desires, and both began to develop growing feelings for one another. During one of their late-night phone calls, Bryson expressed his interest in pursuing a relationship with Lily and asked her out on their first formal date, scheduled for June 8, 2024. Lily was ecstatic, and that date marked the beginning of their relationship. Bryson and Lily have found to love doing life together, spending time travelling to visit his family in North Dakota or just seeing new places with Lily’s family. When planning a family vacation to Jamaica, he knew it was the perfect place to pop the big question. Bryson knew Lily loved the ocean and wanted to honor her during the proposal in that way. He disguised his plan with “family photos”, setting the color scheme to blue and white, giving Lily an excuse to wear the dress she was (secretly) wanting to get engaged in. During the photos Lily would grab her moms purse to put her phone away, little did she know the ring box was right in front of her eyes though she did not realize. In the last few minutes of photos, while tightly gripping the box on the ocean pier, he would ask Lily to marry him, and she ecstatically said yes! Bryson and Lily are looking forward to living in Iowa after marriage and cannot wait to see where the Lord leads them in their lives.

Guest Information

Thank you for traveling to our wedding in Iowa! The hotel block will be held until March 25th, 2026. After that date, the discount rate is no longer guaranteed, and any unsold rooms will be made available to regular guests.
