Our story began on December 24 2017 with a slight introduction through Marvin during Christmas service at church. Bryston was living in Las Vegas at that time and was in town for vacation. Bryston wanted to hang out with Marvin one on one during his vacation but Marvin always insisted on bringing Cha along because she was always down, and that she was. Marvin would always hint that we would be good for each other, and thus the seed was planted.

The night of New Year’s Eve, Bryston got so drunk and it was Chalyn who took care of him, sat through him crying on the bathroom floor, to him being grossed out that his head was in the toilet. Bryston left to go back to Vegas and a group text was formed between Chalyn, Bryston, and Marvin and the two eventually stopped texting in the group and opted to just text each other. Good morning and Goodnight texts became a daily thing, smiling whenever a text notification popped up, surely love was in the air for the two.

Hesitant to act upon their feelings, they went to their church mentors and close friends for guidance and all signs concluded that it was going to be okay. Fast forward to July, Bryston came back home for a wedding and on the first day back he asked her to be official... Only to be rejected LOL. Bryston made it clear that the ball was now in her court and that he wasn’t going to ask again. July 9th was when Bryston was supposed to fly back but mistakenly bought the wrong date so he had to stay one more night. If that one mistake didn’t happen then Chalyn wouldn’t have asked him to be her boyfriend the next day.

They both agreed to do long distance for the time being with no actual timeline. Life went south in Vegas for Bryston and it was clear for him to move back home after almost 4 years of living in the desert.

Having done long distance for a short while, communication was well developed between the two and both knowing each other's intentions beforehand had laid the foundation of their relationship and not once did that foundation crack. After 6 years, we can’t wait to celebrate with you all on October 25 2024. See you soon!
